The Monkees set to tour the US in November

It has been announced today that the surviving members of the Monkees (Micky Dolenz, Peter Tork, and Mike Nesmith) will embark on a 12-date US tour in November. This will mark the first time that estranged  Nesmith has toured with the Monkees since 1997. It is also the band's first tour without singer Davy Jones, who passed away suddenly from a heart attack back in February.

The tour dates are:

November 8- Escondido, CA @ California Center for the Arts
November 9- Santa Barbara, CA @ The Arlington Theatre
November 10- Los Angeles, CA @ Greek Theatre
November 11- Cupertino, CA @ Flint Center for the Performing Arts
November 15- Minneapolis, MN @ State Theatre
November 16- Chicago, IL @ The Chicago Theatre
November 17- Cleveland, OH @ Lakewood Civic Auditorium
November 18- Buffalo, NY @ The Center for the Arts
November 29- Philadelphia, PA @ Keswick Theatre
November 30- New Brunswick, NJ @ State Theatre Regional Arts Center
December 1- Huntington, NY @ The Paramount
December 2- New York, NY @ The Beacon Theatre

It's great to see Micky, Mike, and Peter together again. I think I read somewhere that Mike was planning to reunite with Davy, Micky, and Peter around this time but Davy's passing almost put an end to those plans. It looks like this is what the band would've been doing had Davy lived. In the press release, it says that Davy will be saluted "in the show's multimedia content". Well, as long as it isn't a stupid hologram then this is good. I'll try my best to go and see them!
