"Famous Crime Scene" set to air 2/12 on VH1

According to Rolling Stone.com, there'll be a new seven episode series called Famous Crime Scene. The show will give a CSI-like look and feel to the deaths of famous rock stars. Early episodes will include John Lennon, Michael Jackson, and rapper Tupac Shakur.

I'm glad to see that VH1 has decided to go back to music programing. I mean, I thought it was MTV's job to air crappy shows. I know that there are going to be people who will consider this to be bad taste. It has been done before. A&E and Biography have done an amazing job with their Final 24 series, which is similar. Some of their episodes included famous rock stars. Lennon and Jackson's deaths are grizzly subjects to cover. This is a network that recently declared Michael Jackson's passing the most shocking moment in music, which it most certainly isn't. Hopefully, this show will turn out alright.

  1. Hey, thanks so much for writing about this show. We liked Final 24 too but you'll see this show starts where Final 24 ends - immediately after the celebrity passes, through the eyes of investigators and paramedics.
    Hope you like it.
