Kiss have announced today the release dates of two things: a new single and the album the single comes from. The new single will be released on July 2 and a gigantic photo book called Monster Book will be released the same day. As for the band's new album Monster, it will be released sometime in October of this year. Earlier this year, Paul Stanley said in an interview that Monster will not be exclusively available at Walmart like the band did with 2009's Sonic Boom. Promotion for the album will be taking place in the UK, where they will play a show in London for Help for Heroes on July 4. Kiss are also prepared for a summer tour with Motley Crue.
I'm very excited for the release of Monster. I know there are many people who are bothered by the fact that it isn't the original line-up and that Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer are wearing the make-up of Ace Frehley and Peter Criss. I'm one of those people but I like Kiss because they make cool music. Personally, I enjoyed Sonic Boom. It sounded very much like an album they would've released back in the 1970's.
